Embracing a plant-based diet is not just about altering your meal plan; it's a step towards a more sustainable and compassionate way of living.
A plant-based diet focuses on foods primarily from plants. This includes not only fruits and vegetables, but also nuts, seeds, oils, whole grains, legumes, and beans. It doesn't mean that you are vegetarian or vegan and never eat meat or dairy. Rather, you are proportionately choosing more of your foods from plant sources.
Why Plant-Based? The benefits are manifold. Health-wise, plant-based diets are linked to a lower risk of heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and certain types of cancer. Environmentally, it reduces our carbon footprint, conserves water, and preserves land, combating deforestation and biodiversity loss.
